Beyond the Gates Casting Shake-Up: Who’s Staying, Who’s Leaving, and Who’s Next?
And They’re Off!
Beyond the Gates has scarcely been on the air for a month, but already the cast changes are coming fast and furious. Catch up on who’s headed for Fairmont Crest — and who’s on their way out — here.
Going: Maurice Johnson
Just shy of a month into Beyond the Gates’ run, it announced its first recast. On his way out was the actor who originated the role of Ted Richardson. And on his way in?
Coming: Keith D. Robinson
Stepping into the role of Nicole Dupree Richardson’s better half was the star of such holiday fare as Sister Swap: Christmas in the City and Our Dream Christmas.
Coming: Pierce Lackey
From the start, we had a feeling that he’d also be going, as sleazy lawyer Mike Davis was accused of sexual harassment. And, from the looks of it, he was also guilty of taking the last cup of coffee from the break room.
Coming: Jaden Lucas Miller and Najah Jackson
March 12, 2025, marked the day that Beyond the Gates viewers got to meet Martin Richardson and Smitty Smith’s adopted children, Tyrell and Samantha.
Coming: Darryl W. Handy
Yup, this kind embodied how it was between Jacob Hawthorne and his new partner, veteran cop Marcel Malone. Dude could scarcely look at the younger detective without scowling.
Coming: Trisha Mann-Grant
Psych. The scene-stealer was already a part of the cast as conniving Leslie Thomas, aka Dana, when she made like Young & Restless’ Crazy Aunt Jordan™ Howard, threw on a wig and convinced shrink Nicole Dupree Richardson that she was about to take a flying leap off of the hospital.
Passing Through: Nischelle Turner
The Entertainment Tonight co-host played, but of course, a reporter when she guest-starred as Linda to have a sit-down with the headline-making Duprees.
Coming: Jon Lindstrom
Ahead of Beyond the Gates’ premiere, news broke that the show had scored this veteran soap-hopper, who also recurs as Kevin Collins on General Hospital, to play the unsavory Joey Armstrong. And what would a bad guy be without a henchman, right?
Coming: Maurice P. Kerry
Joey’s right-hand man Randy Parker would have loved to have steered pal Doug McBride away from his boss. But Vanessa’s husband has a gambling problem that good advice alone wasn’t going to solve.
Coming: Cady McClain
We’ll drink to that! The daytime legend, who made soap history by winning Emmys in three different categories for three different roles on three different shows, signed on to play Dani Dupree’s reliable bestie, Pamela Curtis.
