While Hayley Declares War on Naomi, Leslie Goes Undercover to Confront Kat
Thursday, March 27, 2025: Today on Beyond the Gates, Hayley confronts Naomi about the lawsuit, Kat takes precautions against Eva, and Leslie debuts a third persona... complete with a new wig!
We open on a downtrodden Dani, looking fabulous but feeling forlorn. What else is new?
Nicole shows up to check on her sister, who admits that her supportive response to Chelsea’s recent announcement was merely an act.
The good doctor’s official diagnosis is that Dani is addicted to love, and she doesn’t disagree. Nicole suggests that Dani try dating herself for a while in an effort to remember who she really is.
But there’s no breakthrough in this impromptu therapy session. Dani remains as shattered as the photo Hayley smashed on her kitchen floor.
Naomi Reveals the Depth of Her Pain
Speaking of Hayley, Bill’s (much) better half is chews out Naomi for taking her father to court. “The suit impacts the both of us,” Hayley reminds her. In turn, Naomi reminds Hayley that she got a promotion over several of the women named in the suit.
“I earned my promotion,” Hayley insists. Naomi, who is apparently in no mood to play, replies, “On your back? Between the sheets with my dad?” Goodness, gracious!
Naomi then admits that she’s actually more upset with Hayley than she is with Bill: “He betrayed my mom, but you betrayed me!”
Hayley turns it back around, saying that Naomi is the one starting drama with this lawsuit. “Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing,” she says, revealing her intention to countersue after defeating Naomi in court.
Martin Doubles Down on Lies
Over at Orphey Gene’s, you can cut the tension between Martin and Smitty with a knife. The cat’s now out of the bag about Martin turning down a job offer on Smitty’s behalf, and he’s understandably furious.
Martin tries to spin it by saying that the job wasn’t good enough for Smitty’s talents, but he sees right through that garbage excuse. “Me being the last to know is beginning to become a pattern,” he says, asking Martin once and for all if there are any other secrets he’s keeping.
Of course, after coming home to discover their son with a black eye, we’re thinking Martin and Smitty will have to table this conversation for another day.
Leslie Wigs Out Again
Kat’s paranoia about Eva — which is still annoying, even if it’s also deserved — reaches an all-time high, with Kat placing a hidden camera in Nicole’s office to spy on her new assistant.
It’s too bad Kat doesn’t have cameras at Orphey Gene’s, where Eva and Leslie are conspiring against the Richardsons — surprisingly loudly, considering Martin and Smitty are sitting well within earshot.
Kat further screws with Eva by texting her from Nicole’s computer, asking her to stop by the house, where Ted is very surprised (but not at all disappointed) to see her.
Leslie then does some screwing of her own, slipping into a fresh wig and moseying over to Uptown, where she introduces herself to Kat as “Anna.” (A third personality? This won’t end well.)
“Anna” explains to Kat she was a friend of Eva’s biological mother, and she’d like to solve whatever issue Kat seems to have with Eva. Kat says that Eva is out of her depth working for someone so high-profile, so “Anna” suggests that Kat try teaching her instead of judging her. (Yeah, good luck with that.)
Marcel Swears He’s a New Man… Is He Lying?
Over at the precinct, some out-of-character kindness from Marcel has Jacob even more suspicious of his crooked new partner than before. Marcel claims that Jacob has simply pierced his rough exterior, but he doesn’t buy it.
“Everything I’m hearing sounds like bull,” Jacob says, coming in hot, but Marcel insists: “I used to be like you.” He says he was once an idealistic cop, urging Jacob not to follow in his footsteps. Again, very bizarre behavior.
Jacob accuses his father of speaking with Marcel behind his back, but he doesn’t get very far. “Leave it alone,” Elon tells him. “Or I’ll assign you a new partner.”
