Hollyoaks confirms huge shock for Frankie as she makes unexpected discovery
Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) is left absolutely reeling in Hollyoaks next week when she discovers that Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) is the father of Leah Barnes’ (Ela-May Demircan) baby.
The teen, as viewers know, is best friends with Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis), who is currently in young offenders for attacking JJ (Ryan Mulvey).
The long-running soap took a time jump last month, with events moving permanently one year into the future, which prompted all sorts of mysteries as part of the ‘missing’ year.
One of the first mysteries was surrounding the father of Leah’s baby, with Dillon subsequently being confirmed as the dad in a development which received quite a reaction from fans.
Lucas, who is in a relationship with Dillon, remains blissfully unaware that his boyfriend – who fought with everything he had to be with him – cheated on him with his own sister.
Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) is released from the hospital next week and he’s left reeling when he discovers that Weirside View, where he lived with husband James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), has been sold.
He arrives at the Lomax residence to confront Leela Dexter (Kirsty Leigh Porter), who confirms that she was forced to sell the property in order to pay for both Lucas’ solicitor and Leah’s uni fees.
But the explanation does little to quell Ste’s frustrations as he proceeds to blame Leela for Lucas being locked up – and for Leah getting pregnant!
With baby James under Ste’s care, Dillon finds it hard to stay away and he’s got some explaining to do when Frankie spots him neat the child. Putting two and two together, Frankie ultimately works out that Dillon is father!
The question is: will she tell her best mate Lucas? Or will Dillon be able to convince her to keep shtum?
That remains to be seen. Discussing the fan reaction to Dillon being the dad of Leah’s baby, actor Nathaniel Dass branded it ‘pretty fair’ when he caught up with Metro on the red carpet of the Inside Soap Awards, while co-star Oscar added that it was ‘pretty justified’.
‘It’s a big twist’, said Nathaniel, revealing that he and Oscar didn’t expect it either. ‘But it’s all part of the fun of being on a soap, twists and turns!’.
