Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (October 15) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) has found himself in quite the predicament after unintentionally getting engaged to Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell).
Earlier that day, he planned to propose to Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), who almost died from an injury she sustained while being held captive in a locked room in his flat.
Abe, as viewers know, took Cleo hostage at some point during the Channel 4 soap’s ‘missing’ year, with the McQueens believing Cleo to be living it up in Bali.
Cleo attempted to escape from captivity a few weeks ago but, having been trapped for so long, she struggled to actually leave the flat and thus instead returned to the locked room.
Abe subsequently went away on a trip with Peri, who he’s been seeing for a number of months now – a relationship which Cleo knows nothing about.
Cleo was left to fend for herself but, having sustained an injury a few weeks ago, the wound became infected – and thus she was in desperate need of medical attention.
Abe returned home to find her passed out and, upon waking up, Cleo pleaded with him to take her to the hospital. Abe, however, refused and instead stole Peri’s hospital pass to obtain medical supplies, which ultimately saved Cleo’s life.
Afterwards, abuser Abe allowed Cleo out of the locked room and into the living area of the flat, where he set the table for a so-called romantic meal.
It became clear that he was intending on proposing to Cleo, who was taken aback, but the pair were interrupted by a knocking on the door.
Abe swiftly locked Cleo back in the room and, once she was out of sight, he opened the door, with an upset Peri outside, demanding to know why he stood her up.
Peri spotted the engagement ring on the table and jumped to conclusions, believing that Abe was going to propose to her instead. Abe ultimately did so, with Peri accepting.
Will Abe be able to talk his way out of this one? Or is his time up? Will Cleo find out about Peri? Will Peri find out about Cleo? We can only hope.
