Another Hollyoaks star exits as wave of cast changes continue
Hollyoaks star David Joshua-Anthony has exited ahead of the Channel 4 soap’s brand new era.
The actor played Andre Clarke, son of newcomer Donny (Louis Emerick) and biological sibling of Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence).
Andre debuted in December last year and moved in to 67 Christleton Terrace with best mate Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass,), with Donny and Vicky also moving into the property soon afterwards.
His storylines largely revolved around reuniting estranged father and daughter duo Donny and Vicky, plus proving a confidante for Dillon.
It was revealed last month that Andre was accidentally shot by Blue when he was a child, which is what prompted Donny’s relentless search for the hardened gangster.
To facilitate Hollyoaks’ move to three episodes a week, a number of characters have been written out.
Andre will soon disappear from screens, according to The Sun, with actor David having already completed filming on his final scenes.
Last week, legendary village icons Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) and Tom Cunningham (Ellis Holins) were controversially written out, with actors Steph and Ellis having confirmed that their characters were axed.
The devastating departures are set to continue, with Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey)- one of the show’s most popular characters – set to exit, as well as Charlie Dean (Charlie Dean).
Hollyoaks’ new era kicks off on Monday (September 9), with a stunt week, followed by a one year time jump.
Hollyoaks airs Mondays to Wednesdays at 7pm on E4 or watch first from 7am on Channel 4 streaming.
