Beyond the Gates Exclusive: Timon Kyle Durrett and Marquita Goings Preview Looming Struggles for Hayley and Bill
If it ever really began, the honeymoon is over for Beyond the Gates’ newlyweds Bill and Hayley. His ex-wife Dani continues to loom large over their relationship. And it doesn’t help that Hayley remains desperate to patch things up with the woman scorned. “She wants things to not only change but change quickly,” Marquita Goings tells Soaps.com. “So she keeps going back to Dani and the Duprees and trying to make it right.
“I’m not saying she shouldn’t do that, but she does it so much,” she adds, incredulous. “As Marquita, I think, ‘You made that bed, you have to lie in it.’ Fighting and trying to get back their respect can be challenging. She needs to give that family their space and see how things play out.”
At the same time as Hayley is longing to get back in Dani’s good graces, she has to worry that Bill will get back in Dani’s clutches. The tie between the exes has anything but been cut. “There’s definitely some underlying concern on Hayley’s part,” Timon Kyle Durrett observes. “When there are ‘moments,’ she’s not going to miss it. She’s no fool. She understands. It’s not like Dani was a high school buddy that Bill hasn’t seen in a while. This is his ex-wife and the mother of his two daughters who he loves very much.
“It’s hard to sever that connection entirely,” he continues. “Even though you’re no longer together, you still remember the good times. And occasionally, things happen. Those feelings can resurface when you least expect it.”
Already, they have. And if they keep resurfacing, Bill and Hayley’s marriage could go under before they even reach their first anniversary!
