Bill Keeps Pushing Dani Away—Will Andre Be the One to Catch Her?
Wednesday, April 2, 2025: Today on Beyond the Gates, Dani and Bill’s reunion takes a dark turn, Andre enjoys a subtext-heavy meal with Ashley and Derek, and Naomi’s grandparents take a surprising position on her lawsuit.
If you were hoping that Bill and Dani’s big kiss would rekindle their old flame, you’re as delusional as, well, Dani.
“I did not consent to that kiss,” Bill says, pulling himself off his ex-wife. “There’s no future for us, Dani. Whatever we’ve been or done for each other is dead. It’s in the past.’”
“You poor, misguided man,” she replies. “I’m in your blood.”
Then Dani starts to worry. If Bill really isn’t there to kiss and make up, why did he come by? Of course… Hayley.
“If club members are freezing Hayley out, it’s because they find her unacceptable, not because I told them to,” Dani informs him. Then she asks a fair question: “Are you going to tell your child bride that we kissed?”
Bill tells Dani that he’s “done” with all these games, but Dani reminds him that he’s the one who started them. She then hands over the deed to the Delaware house he allegedly came over to discuss in the first place.
“I guess we’re finished here,” Bill says on his way out, to which Dani replies, “Keep thinking that.”
Bill Tells Hayley (Almost) Everything
Meanwhile, Hayley surprises Bill at the firm with dinner, assuming he’ll be there working late. We know better, of course, as does Caroline, who tells Hayley that she’s “not at liberty to say” what Bill is up to.
Caroline only reveals that Bill went to see Dani, leaving Hayley to assume he’s going through Dani to get Naomi to drop the lawsuit.
When Bill finally returns to the office, he tells Hayley that he confronted Dani about the club mistreating her — and she’s pissed, reminding Bill that she explicitly asked him not to say anything.
(He conveniently leaves out the part where he and his ex-wife locked lips. Oops?)
Andre and Derek Find Common Ground
Over at Ashley’s apartment, the good nurse is a nervous wreck, frantically getting the place in order before Andre arrives for dinner. Meanwhile, Derek’s only concern is that he and Andre won’t have anything in common — nothing besides their mutual admiration for Ashley, of course.
They find unexpected common ground when Andre asks Derek if he’d like to be part of the documentary, but their bonding moment is short-lived. Andre receives a call and he’s out the door.
“Did he just rush out of here for a booty call?” the couple wonders. And the answer is… yes!
Andre Helps Dani Get Over Bill… Again
As Ashley and Derek suspect, Andre is in fact on his way to a booty call — they just don’t realize it’s with Dani.
Dani (for the millionth time) accepts that she needs to let Bill go, which is exactly where Andre comes in. “I was hoping that you could help me forget that he’s even on the planet,” Dani says as she undresses him.
“The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else,” he says, joining her in bed.
Vernon and Anita Tell Naomi What She *Doesn’t* Want to Hear
For Vernon and Anita, it’s date night at Uptown, where they encounter Naomi, still fired up after her latest showdown with Bill.
Naomi is out for blood, eager to take her father down, but Vernon has a few words of advice first: “There’s been so much between Bill and our family, I don’t want it creeping into the news or gossip around town that we can’t handle our business in private.”
Anita takes her granddaughter’s side — for the most part — but suggests that Naomi holds Bill accountable without turning him into an enemy.
Too bad for them, Naomi won’t budge. More than ever, she’s determined to go after him with everything she’s got.
The Marcel Plot Thickens
After seeing Joey and Marcel on another late-night rendezvous, Jacob takes his suspicions to Elon, who tells him to keep things quiet.
Apparently Joey is a confidential informant, helping the cops catch a foreign agent. They’re “using a suspected crook to catch a real one. Simple but effective.”
Elon once again reams Marcel out for being too obvious. “Keep your hands clean,” he says. “My son is too damn wholesome to ignore corruption.” Sure enough, Jacob isn’t ignoring it — he’s listening in.
