Chelsea Exposes the Truth to Dani as One of Martin’s Secrets Comes to Light!

Following yesterday’s living room rap battle, Anita is still looming large at Dupree Manor, where she’s looking back on photos from her days on the stage.

Her walk down memory lane is interrupted by Chelsea, who comes seeking advice about how to tell Dani that she wants to ditch her modeling career in favor of rebranding herself as a designer.

Chelsea Finally Tells Dani: I Quit!

At the country club, Dani turns down a breakfast Bellini in exchange for a simple orange juice. Just kidding! She’s adding vodka to it. So much for kicking that troubling little habit.

Speaking of habits Dani desperately needs to kick, along comes Vernon to discuss the latest on Bill and Hayley. “You’ve been a handful lately, as always,” he says. “But you’re my handful. Know that I’m here for you.”

Dani rushes off to meet Chelsea, leaving her orange juice unguarded from a very thirsty Vernon — and he’s visually alarmed to discover that Dani’s downing screwdrivers in the middle of the day.

And how do we expect Dani to better herself when she’s surrounded by enablers? The duo planning the fashion show claims that Dani’s shenanigans at Bill and Hayley’s wedding were actually good for her brand, and she likes what she hears.

She’s considerably less ecstatic, however, when Chelsea finally drops the bombshell: she’s done with modeling.

Naomi Takes the Case

Over at Orphie Jean’s, Naomi gets some surprising news from the women who were hoping to hire her for their sexual harassment case against Bill: “Your services are no longer needed. Forget we ever asked.”

The lawsuit is still happening, but they feel bad for asking Naomi to battle her father in court. Still, she won’t be deterred. “I not only know how my dad works, I know how to take his firm down,” she tells them. “I’m yours if you’ll have me.”

“There’s no doubt or hesitation?” they asked, but Naomi doubled down, preparing them for how much the defense will scrutinize them as accusers. Part of their challenge will be proving that the firm knew about Mike’s actions.

Bill is Blindsided By His Daughter’s Betrayal

Something tell us they’re very aware. At the office, Mike cracks an inappropriate joke, prompting Bill and Tomas to call him “the human definition of NSFW,” aka Not Safe For Work. He recognizes that he strikes a nerve when he starts talking about Hayley, wisely excusing himself from the room.

Naomi surprises Bill at the office, but they don’t talk about the harassment case. Instead, Bill tries to win Naomi back to his side, saying that he loves her more than ever now that he sees what a strong woman (and lawyer) she’s become.

Martin’s Grandparents Crush His Presidential Dreams

Is Martin’s little “secret” finally about to come out? The presidential hopeful is still being plagued by flashbacks to the fateful night, and Smitty is growing increasingly concerned.

As always, Martin brushes off Smitty’s concerns, attributing his blurry eyes to late nights. At the rate Martin is working, Smitty says it’s like he’s planning to run for a higher office… which he is! (Shhh. Smitty still doesn’t know about Martin’s presidential aspirations quite yet.)

When Vernon mentions Martin’s plans to Anita, it’s a hard no. Like Vernon, she worries that Martin couldn’t survive such intense scrutiny. “My boy’s secret is so explosive, it could decimate his life,” Vernon says. “Forget political ambitions, there would be no shielding Smitty and the kids from the fallout. They’d be collateral damage.”
