Chicago Fire Fans Want What’s Worst for Stella and Severide
There are way too many people in this community wishing for the least preferable outcome for Stella Kidd’s successful career.
Chicago Fire notoriously always does something to its characters in season finales. This time, it seems like the majority of the show’s fans are demanding a very particular storyline in the Season 12 finale that goes against everything Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide are right now — and everything that would be good for them.
Chicago Fire Fans Demand Kidd’s Pregnancy
Out of all the things fans could wish upon this notoriously unstable couple, many of them want Stella and Severide to learn about her pregnancy in the Season 12 finale. We aren’t talking about the fans that just consider such a possibility; we’re talking about those who straight-up demand that Stella end this season pregnant.
Not only is it, well, really weird, but it would also be terrible for all three — Stella, Kelly, and their child. At this point in time, the notorious couple really isn’t in the perfect place to start a family, between Kelly’s dangerous calls and OFI investigations, Stella’s flourishing and promising career growth, and their somewhat questionable relationship where they still can’t take each other into account.
Stella and Kelly Don’t Need a Kidd Right Now
Currently, Stella Kidd is a positive role model: she’s crushing it in a male-dominated field, loves her job, and is brilliant at it. Despite having a husband, she didn’t give up on her career and makes climbing the ranks look easy; she’s well-respected by her colleagues and has a bright future ahead of her. Why would she reject all of this?
Stella’s pregnancy that so many people are so shamelessly demanding would put an end to everything good she now has, and it feels like only those who hate her want it.
“They would never let a pregnant woman ride [with the Truck team]. Remember Gabby? So fine, knock her up. Put her on a desk. She quits in disgust. No more Stella, and we can all rejoice,” Reddit user QuiJon70 wrote.
It’s only one of the many terrible scenarios that would follow Stella’s untimely pregnancy if it happens now. Let Kidd and Severide grow up and learn to talk to each other first. Let them decide whether they want a baby. Let them get ready for it.
And stop being so appallingly weird about it.
