Chicago Fire spoilers: What to expect on season 12, episode 7
After taking a longer-than-we’d-like break, Chicago Fire is back with a new episode.
We’ve faced the break, and now it’s time to jump back into the world of One Chicago. Chicago Fire is back on Wednesday, March 20 with a new episode, and the promotional material makes it clear we need to tune in.
The break was expected. After all, NBC made it clear in the promo. We also know that breaks are needed. With the January start date and only 13 episodes, breaks are needed to ensure NBC can bring the finale in May. The network, like the others, will want to return to its usual TV schedule next fall.
Not sure what to expect in the new episode as there’s been such a break? We have you covered.
Chicago Fire 12×07 promo
The promo makes it clear that Severide is back in the action. He is at the firehouse when a girl comes to him and asks for the money that was at the house Firehouse 51 was called to. It sounds like the money was kept safe from the flames, but why was the money there? Just how much was there, and was it the reason for the fire in the first place?

Chicago Fire 12×07 synopsis
The synopsis tells us a little more of what’s going on with that story. Severide is at odds with Chicago PD about the money. It looks like the police think there is something suspicious. Does Severide just want to help keep this girl safe? What else can he do to help her?
Meanwhile, we’re meeting Brett’s replacement. Violet is not initially going to get on with the newbie on the ambo. Is this just a case of Violet having to get used to the way someone else works?
It’s a problem when there’s a chance of pace with people leaving. It’s not easy to get used to someone new. This could also be a temporary replacement with someone else coming in as a paramedic later in the season. We’ve seen that happen before.
