Chicago Fire's Core Female Stars Reunite Ahead Of Kara Killmer's Season 12 Exit

Kara Killmer reunites with her fellow Firehouse 51 female co-stars ahead of her Chicago Fire season 12 exit. Aside from being significantly delayed and with far fewer episodes, One Chicago is also looking at a couple of exits in its upcoming year. Chief Boden’s Firehouse 51 is currently gearing up for Sylvie Brett’s impending departure, with Killmer previously confirmed to exit the Dick Wolf-produced show in season 12.

In light of that, Killmer is seen reuniting with her fellow female cast members as they prepare to start production on Chicago Fire season 12. Shared by Violet Mikami actor, Hanako Greensmith, the pair are seen with Miranda Rae Mayo who plays Stella Kidd. Check out the image below:

What To Expect From Brett’s Chicago Fire Season 12 Exit

Chicago fire Casey and Brett looking in opposite directions

One of the arcs in the packed Chicago Fire season 11 finale is Matt Casey and Brett’s rekindled romance. The pair had been dating for quite a while when the then-Truck 81 lieutenant decided to move across the country to take care of the children of his late friend. His relocation was NBC and Wolf Entertainment’s way of writing original cast member, Jesse Spencer, out of the first-responder procedural. Despite that, Casey and Brett still decided to keep their relationship going, until the long-distance set-up proved to be far too difficult for her.

In an unexpected turn of events, Casey proposed to Brett in the season 11 finale, but Chicago Fire opted to keep their fate in limbo until season 12. Considering Killmer’s upcoming departure, it’s safe to say that Brett will eventually say yes to the engagement, resulting in her moving in with him to Portland, Oregon. Whether their wedding will be held in Chicago is currently uncertain, but it will definitely be a great way to cap off their collective storylines in the Windy City.

Admittedly, Brett saying yes to Casey seems impractical, considering that she has just adopted a newborn. Moving across the country on the heels of a major life change can be very tricky, especially since she will lose the support system that she has in Firehouse 51. In any case, at least she and Casey can be together, with Chicago Fire season 12 giving them the happy ending that they deserve.
