Dani’s Shocking Revelation – A Dupree Behind Bars!
Friday, March 7, 2025: Today on Beyond the Gates, Leslie makes her move against the Hamiltons, Vanessa's husband becomes a target and a shocking arrest is made.
Like a broken (albeit accurate) record, Kat continues to interrogate Eva about her shady behavior in Nicole’s office. “Our family has a saying,” Kat informs her. “Fool me once, it’s on me. Fool me twice, it’s your funeral.” Um, yikes?
Kat accuses Eva of doing exactly what she was doing, and when she denies it, Kat decides to call Nicole in to settle the matter. Eva stands her ground, especially when Kat implies that Eva is glad Laura got into an accident, but Kat isn’t satisfied.
She eventually tracks down Nicole getting cozy with Ted in the hospital hallway, totally unaware that a blonde-wigged Leslie is watching them from a distance… while also watching their tribute video on her phone. A true two-screener, that Leslie. She probably binges a ton of TV when she’s not busy running innocent girls off the road.
Nicole doesn’t just tell Kat to stand down — she calls her a “spoiled brat,” demanding that she drop her issues with Eva. It’s kind of satisfying watching Kat get put in her place for being so rude, even if we know she’s actually right. What an odd, confusing sensation this is.
Ted Tells Eva What She’s Always Wanted to Hear
On her way out of the office, Eva bumps into Ted, who thanks her for being a “godsend” to Nicole. He can tell something is bothering her (father’s intuition, perhaps?), but she’s too flustered to speak. “I think I know what’s bothering you,” he says, thinking she’s just intimidated by the Dupree name. “You belong here,” he says, prompting her to tell him about her difficult upbringing — including the father she never knew. Wink. WINK.
“She seems like a good kid. I feel bad,” Ted tells Nicole after Eva leaves. “Why? You didn’t do anything,” Nicole replies. Gee, you know who might feel differently about that? Leslie, who’s currently outside Nicole’s office vowing to make the Hamiltons “wish they’d never met.”
Dani Embraces the ‘Unusual’
After the insane couple of weeks she’s had, Dani could really use a drink. Any drink, really. “It’s time to embrace the unusual,” she tells the bartender. “Surprise me.” While he prepares her mystery beverage (which is always a good idea!), Dani lets her mind wander back to her latest encounter with Andre.
Dani and Andre exchange a few flirty texts, but she puts a stop to anything further: “Never again means never again… especially tonight,” she tells him. And what’s so special about tonight, you ask? That’s the million-dollar question, and our interest is only piqued more when Dani tells Chelsea and Naomi to meet her at Dupree Manor later that night for an “earth-shattering” announcement.
Where there are drinks, there’s Vanessa, so it’s not long before Dani’s bestie joins her at the bar. But just like Dani, her attention is also divided — specifically by her side piece Diego, who’s eye-humping her from across the room.
Maybe Vanessa should be more focused on her other man. You know, her husband, Doug? The guy who’s currently meeting with a shady, Lincoln Lawyer-obsessed casino owner in his car? After giving the guy his life story, Doug receives an offer he should absolutely refuse.
The casino owner says he’ll clear Doug’s entire debt if he becomes one of his friends. “I could always use more friends like you,” he says… extremely creepily.
That creepiness is confirmed when he later tells Doug’s friend: “I want Doug McBride in my debt.”
Dani Is ‘Ready to Bury’ the Past, But…
At last, the big announcement arrives. In fact, we’re surprised it doesn’t arrive before Dani, who shows up fashionably late to her own family meeting. “Where’s Nicole?” she asks. “I don’t think I can do this twice.” But the present Duprees don’t let her stall any further.
“My marriage is dead, and I am finally ready to bury it,” she says. “It’s really, finally, absolutely over.” Not getting the reaction she was hoping for, she asks, “Where’s the applause? Isn’t this what you all wanted?” Again, the family’s silence is deafening. They clearly don’t believe that she’s really over the Bill and Hayley drama, and can you blame them for doubting her? Andre may be great in bed, but he’s not a literal magician.
She vows never misuse a gun or gold club ever again (the golf club part was news to Anita), then gives a powerful speech about rediscovering her strength, her happiness and herself. “Our girl has seen the light!” Vernon says. “Can I get an amen?” The Duprees are so excited, they can’t help but dance for joy in the living room.
Unfortunately, the festivities don’t last long. Jacob shows up with bad news — he’s there to place Dani under arrested for attempted murder!
We then see Bill toasting his victory at the bar, as if anyone else would have been behind this.
Leslie Proceeds to Phase 2
So, what’s keeping Nicole and Ted so long? No big deal, just a woman threatening to jump off the roof of the hospital. And it’s not just any woman Nicole discovers up there — it’s Leslie!
