Ethan Williams set to be attacked in violent Hollyoaks showdown – and a so-called mate is to blame
Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) is brutally attacked in Hollyoaks next week by Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham), who is on the hunt for information about Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas).
Just when I was starting to root for you, Freddie.
Ethan, aka everyone’s favourite gangster-turned-nightclub-owner, was only just held at gunpoint a number of weeks ago – and that was before the death of his favourite niece in Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best).
The focus has been very much on Dave’s (Dominic Power) grief and therefore Ethan hasn’t received much support in the aftermath, so the upcoming attack couldn’t come at a worse time for him.
With Dave in a bad way, Ethan is once again summoned to help his struggling brother by a concerned Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring).
But following his good deed, the owner of The Loft will be targeted by Freddie, who is on a mission to get his hands on the cash Warren stole from him earlier this month.
Ethan is brutally attacked and tied to a chair in the garage, as Freddie proceeds to quiz him on information about what exactly Warren is up to.
Ethan refuses to talk but, after more torture tactics and threats, the much-loved character spills, revealing that the name of a project Warren is working on is titled Project Katie.
Freddie wastes little time in investigating, though the outcome of his search isn’t exactly what he expected.

And as for Ethan? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see but I imagine he’s going to have a lot of recovering to do following Freddie’s antics.
The popular character, who we’ve seen far too little of as of late, has had a lot to come to terms with over the past year. In addition to Lizzie’s death and the gunpoint situation, he also ended things with soulmate Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).
Sienna, as viewers will recall, was keen to get her hands on Rafe Harcourt’s (Chris Gordon) fortune but she ultimately developed feelings for the Earl, which left Ethan devastated.
The popular couple, known to fans as Ethenna, called time on their relationship shortly afterwards but, with chemistry aplenty, fans everywhere are keen to see them reunite.
