Here’s every Chicago Fire character who will be in the Brettsey wedding
Unsurprisingly, there’s going to be lots of 51 representation.
It’s almost here. The Chicago Fire wedding we’ve all been waiting for. It’s been a couple of rollercoaster seasons for Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) and Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer), but they’ve managed to come out on top and will get the chance to live out their happily ever after in Oregon.
It’s safe to assume that there will be some logistical issues and last-minute drama that occurs during the episode “Port in the Storm”, but for the most part, it will be a celebration of Brettsey as a couple, and everyone who played a major role in them getting together.
As such, we thought it’d be useful to assemble a guide of the Chicago Fire characters who will actually be a part of the wedding. Just so you know where everybody is going to be when the moment of truth comes.
Officiant: Wallace Boden
Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) is no stranger to holding esteemed positions at weddings. He tied the knot with his wife Donna (Melissa Ponzio) in season 2, and he was the one who gave Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) away when she got married in season 10.
Brett was nervous to ask Boden to officiate her wedding, and her attempt to ask got cut short by a call, but the Chief was more than happy to step up and play his part in seeing two of her former 51 employees embark on the next chapter of their lives together.
Best Man: Kelly Severide
That’s right, he’s coming back! Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) has been a tough man to get ahold of in season 12, but the promo for “Port in the Storm” confirms that he will be back to support his best pal Casey on the most important day of his life.
Casey returned to Chicago to serve as Severide’s best man, so it’s only fitting that the favor be returned. Plus, this may be the last time we get to see these two hang out and reflect on the lives that they’ve built for each other. We’re looking forward to it.
Maid of Honor: Violet Mikami
Who else could it be!? Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) has been Brett’s best friend since the moment she joined the medic team, and together they’ve been through quite a bit. They have been supportive during moments of emotional turmoil, and there have been plenty of those moments over the last two seasons.
Violet also stood up for Brett in the episode “On the Hook”, when it seemed as though the latter was going to lose her job. That kind of friendship is hard to come by, so Brett picking Violet as her maid of honor was definitely a no-brainer.
Groom: Matt Casey
Obvious? Yes. Worth mentioning? Double yes! We’ll be honest with you: we thought we were going to see Casey at least one before the wedding episode, but season 12 has zipped by and there’s been no sign of the former firefighter.
Granted, he’s got a lot to get situated in Oregon, which is where Brett will be moving after the wedding, but the withholding of Casey screen time is going to make his presence in “Port in the Storm” all the more rewarding.
Bride: Sylvie Brett
We had to wrap things up with the bride. Sylvie Brett has had to juggle a lot in the last six months, but she has managed to do so with a positive attitude and an unshakeable eagerness for what lies ahead.
It will be sad to see her leave the 51 behind, but it’s comforting to know that she and Casey will be happy together in the Beaver State.
