Hollyoaks couple Leela Lomax and Joel Dexter will see their big day ruined by a revelation from Marie Fielding.
The pair have managed to keep their nuptials a secret, as they have invited their loved ones to lunch with the intention to surprise them with a last-minute wedding ceremony.
However, their plan won’t go as smoothly as they’d hoped when the secret is out.
After finding out the truth, Peri is furious at her mum for having kept such a big milestone planning from her while other villagers seem to be in the know.
Ahead of the day, Joel attempts to patch things up with Abe and Marie with a mini stag do at The Dog, but their relationship remains strained.
The wedding day start on a sour note when the groom wakes up hungover at the pub, leaving Leela wondering whether she’ll be getting married at all.
Meanwhile, Cleo McQueen and Joel have a conversation on the City Walls, spotted by Abe and Marie, who can’t help but be suspicious.
Later on at the McQueens, Marie makes her doubts known, telling Abe that she thinks Leela isn’t right for Joel.
When it’s finally time for the two lovebirds to say ‘I do,’ their friends and family gather at The Dog. Leela and Joel have fully reconciled and plan to go ahead with their vows when Marie turns up with another spanner in the works. Will these two manage to go through with the wedding?
