Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Friday’s episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn’t air on E4 until Monday.

Tonight’s (May 31) Hollyoaks streaming episode saw Frankie Osborne make a desperate plea to her brother JJ, amid his ongoing abuse.

Since their arrival in the village earlier this year, JJ has subjected his twin sister to horrific abuse and regularly blackmails her into remaining silent.

Frankie has felt unable to tell Darren or Nancy about the abuse she’s faced, so has instead sought escape by applying for a place at a dance academy — which angered JJ when he found out.

Tonight’s episode began with Charlie offering Frankie support ahead of her ballet audition, with JJ warning her that she shouldn’t keep it a secret from Nancy and Darren.

“Do you think Nancy would be so supportive if she knew you and Charlie were keeping this audition a secret?” he said.

“Well, maybe he’s just being the big brother I wish I’d always had” replied Frankie, to which JJ said: “You don’t need him. You’ve got me.”

JJ then apologised for lashing out at Frankie after he learnt about her audition, saying: “I’m sorry for grabbing you yesterday. It’s just the thought of you not being here scares me. You’re the only person I’ve ever been able to trust. I don’t know what I’d do if you left.”

JJ then went to confront Frankie at Hollyoaks High during her dance rehearsal, where he learnt that her audition was in Manchester.

“Is this dance school a full-time thing? You’d be spending half your time travelling back and forth. I’d never get to see you. Frankie, you can’t be serious,” he said after learning Frankie would be travelling away from the village.

“I’d be so lost without you. What if you’re travelling back late at night, and something bad happens to you?” he continued, angrily grabbing Frankie by the arms.

“What, something worse than what happens to me already?” Frankie responded as she tried to release JJ’s grip.

“You know I’m the only one who’s ever looked out for you. Maybe you need reminding of that,” JJ then said, before aggressively pinning Frankie to the wall.

Later, as JJ got ready to leave, Frankie urged her brother to stop abusing her. “This needs to stop,” she tearfully said.

“No one’s ever gonna find out. This is just us. It’s what we do,” JJ replied, before Nancy arrived to take him to football practice.

Back at home, an anxious Frankie asked Charlie to sign a parental consent form for her audition, as she didn’t want Darren or Nancy to say no.

“I am going to that audition and no-one is going to stop me,” she declared.

Will JJ finally listen to Frankie’s pleas?

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
