Hollyoaks’ Joel Dexter will confide in former fiancée Cleo McQueen amid the emotional baby loss storyline.
Joel’s wife Leela recently received heartbreaking news that she had suffered a miscarriage, with doctors revealing after an emergency ultrasound that baby Noah had passed away.
Following this, Leela kicked Joel out amid her grief after he mistakenly put Noah’s blanket in the washing machine.
In new scenes set to air next week, Joel makes contact with his wife as she informs him that she’s signed the postmortem forms, and also reveals that she’s yet to tell her son Daniel about the miscarriage. Joel also wants to support her.
While Joel is determined to reveal the truth to Daniel, he thinks again when he receives a Father’s Day card.
Joel later breaks down in Cleo’s arms while buying supplies at Price Slice, sharing his grief with his former fiancée.
Later on in the week, Leela and Joel are preparing for the postpartum results, and after overhearing a conversation, the family reveals the truth to Daniel.
Leela and Joel are later informed by Misbah that the postpartum results are inconclusive, and in his anger, Joel punches the wall. He’s also advised by Abe to look after his mental health.
Later on, Leela asks Joel to move back in after he causes a scene at The Dog.
