Hollyoaks legend questioned by the police after serious allegation of abuse is made

Nancy questioned by the police in Hollyoaks\

Trigger warning: This article contains discussion of child sexual abuse and self-harm.

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (June 5) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on Thursday June 6 at 7pm.

Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) was forced to vacate her home at 17 Basswood Road after Frankie (Isabelle Smith) made a serious allegation of abuse against her.

Frankie, as viewers know, is being sexual abused by twin brother JJ (Ryan Mulvey), who deliberately sabotaged her chances of getting into dance school in London in a bid to keep her close.

Devastated, Frankie railed at her twisted sibling over what he’d done, branding him a ‘freak’ and ordering him to stay away from her. In horrifying scenes, JJ grabbed one of his football boots and attacked her.

Frankie was devastated as she discovered she was bleeding, making her way upstairs. Nancy, meanwhile, returned home from The Dog to have it out with her stepdaughter, who she just found out was responsible for Morgan’s hospitalisation a number of weeks ago.

Nancy demanded answers but Frankie struggled to stay conscious following JJ’s brutal attack and, in upsetting scenes, she fell down the stairs. Nancy watched in horror while JJ played the innocent, feigning concern for his twin sister.

Frankie was rushed to hospital and, shortly after regaining consciousness, she remembered what JJ had done. JJ, however, ordered her to keep quiet, claiming that he will never abuse her again if she claims that Nancy was the one who pushed her.

Desperately wanting the abuse to stop, Frankie did as she was told, with Nancy taken away by the police for questioning.

Nancy reiterated her innocence, unsure of why Frankie would lie, thinking that maybe Suzanne Ashworth (Suzanne Hall) had put her up to it.

She subsequently moved out of her home, much to the shock of Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson), knowing that she couldn’t live under the same roof as Frankie while all of this is going on.

But will justice be served? Will JJ pay for what he’s done? And will Nancy be able to prove her innocence?

As viewers know, Frankie’s tablet recorded the moment that JJ attacked her, so if this discovery is made, the truth about her devastating ordeal might finally come to light.
