Hollyoaks lovers torn apart as devastating funeral is confirmed in new spoilers
Hollyoaks has been nothing short of superb as of late and that winning streak is showing no signs of slowing down, as confirmed in my brand new spoilers, which detail next week in full.
The Channel 4 soap has been pretty much unmissable since the beginning of the year, with stunt extravaganzas and shock twists aplenty, and next week very much continues in that vein, with some truly brilliant stuff lined up.
Following their first kiss last month, Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) are more loved up than ever – so much so, in fact, that Lucas reveals he’s ready to take things to the next level, telling Dillon that he’d like him to be his first.
The two boys’ attempt to have sex doesn’t exactly go as planned, and it raises a number of eyebrows, with one character in particular voicing her concerns.
Oh boy.
Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), meanwhile, finds herself struggling as Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) continues to control every aspect of his life, turning his attention to her eating disorder as he targets her self-confidence.
And Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) receives the biggest of all shocks when she’s faced with what appears to be a ghost from her past. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg so if you’d like ALL the details about next week then I’m your man.
Let’s get stuck in, shall we?
Note. Dates are for E4 airings. Episodes drop on Channel 4 streaming the weeknight before listed dates at 7:30pm.
Monday June 17
Cleo assures Abe that they’re in a good place and will remain so even if she lands a new promotion at work. To her glee, she gets the promotion but Abe does little to celebrate, frustrated that she’s intending on going out with her friends instead of sticking to their plans, grabbing her by the arm in a heated showdown.
Mercedes, meanwhile, suggests that they take the party back to the McQueen residence, where Cleo is quite rightly made the centre of attention as everyone toasts to her success. Abe, however, overhears her making comments on his absence, with Cleo unaware that he organised the event.
Warren meets with Rex, who proves to be anything but pleasant as he makes his presence felt, making it clear that he wants to buy the hard-man out.
Not really sure how that would work given that Warren co-owns the nightclub with Ethan and Sienna, but regardless, Warren outright refuses Rex’s offer, with war being waged between the two.
Rex subsequently crosses paths with Hannah and it becomes clear that he used to be her boss. Hannah is terrified as Rex reveals that he’s got a client lined up for her but Dave intervenes, putting himself in the firing line which allows her to make her escape.
Leela signs Noah’s postmortem forms for Joel, who calls over to see her for the first time since she kicked him out. Leela admits that she hasn’t told Daniel yet about Noah, with Joel offering her his support.
Leah surprises Vicky and Freya with tickets to see Taylor Swift, but are the girls ready to forgive her for her online bullying campaign?
Tuesday June 18
Lucas is busy with his studies when discussions turn to sex. After giving it come thought, the teen meets with Dillon, telling him that he wants his first time to be with him. Dillon is touched – and a plan is set in motion.
Cleo confides in Misbah about her relationship with Abe and subsequently has a meeting with a mortgage advisor.
Joel, meanwhile, sets out to tell Daniel about Noah but he receives a Father’s Day card from him which stops him in his tracks. He breaks down in Cleo’s arms, confiding in her about his feelings as sinister Abe watches from the window.
Hannah fears the worst when Dave is nowhere to be found. Robbie discourages her as she attempts to call the police. But just where is Dave?
Leela and Joel get Noah’s postmortem results back, while Daniel overhears a conversation about the baby, with the grieving parents forced to tell him the truth.
Abe sets out a new workout regime for Cleo, including an exercise class in the park, which makes her feel self-conscious as he praises Teresa and Hannah. Hannah can see through him, with both she and Cleo connecting as they share their own experience of having an eating disorder.
Having decided that they’re ready, Lucas and Dillon plan to have sex at Weirside View. The boys ditch their studies and proceed to rip each other’s clothes off as things get very heated, but the mood is killed when Ste and James return home!
Hannah subsequently bumps into Rex, who claims he doesn’t know where Dave is.
Thursday June 20
Sienna excitedly unveils her new business venture, having leased a stall in the market which she intends to use to sell flowers. Blake’s Blooms is up and running!
The schemer’s attention, however, is soon elsewhere and she’s forced to get cover for the stall when Dilly’s behaviour raises alarm bells.
Dilly meets with Martha, who wants to be left alone. This comes as a shock to Dilly, who just wants to get to know her long-lost relatives, but she’s in for an even bigger shock when she sets her sights on newcomer Jeremy, who bears a striking resemblance to dead dad Patrick!
With their previous attempt having crashed and burned, Dillon books a hotel for the night so that he and Lucas can have sex. Lucas, however, claims that he’s grounded – and Dillon subsequently finds out that he’s been lied to, confronting Lucas on the reason why.
Preparations get underway for Noah’s funeral, with the family rallying around Leela and Joel.
Friday June 21
Lucas apologises to Dillon for lying, with the two starting afresh as they get closer than ever.
Misbah, however, isn’t best pleased at their closeness and summons Ste and James to 67 Christledon Terrace to share her concerns with them as she recalls Lucas’ violent outburst following Pride.
Are Lucas and Dillon set to be torn apart?
Peri, meanwhile, calls Sienna to notify her that Dilly is at hospital, claiming to be suffering from hallucinations of Patrick. Sienna and Maxine arrive at the hospital, where the startling truth is revealed.
Scott receives news about Miley as he makes her a memory book wile Cleo agree to help Abe with his workout videos.
Hollyoaks streams weeknights at 7:30pm on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
