Hollyoaks ‘seals’ another huge exit as major character is shot in final showdown
Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (September 10) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Dave Williams’ (Dominic Power) fate hangs in the balance after he was shot by Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), who had moments earlier been stabbed by the handyman-turned-gangster.
Warren, as viewers know, was targeted by a hardened criminal named Blue, whose reputation dates back decades. Even Norma Crow (Glynis Barber), who actually was quite terrifying in her earlier years, was spooked by Blue’s comeback.
After weeks of speculation, it was subsequently revealed that Blue was actually handyman Dave.
The twist received quite a mixed response from fans who quite rightly pointed out that the hapless handyman and former postman Dave wasn’t exactly known for his attention to detail and had something of a penchant for making mistakes and saying the wrong thing.
He famously booked the wrong year – not day, YEAR – for his wedding day to Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring), which says everything really. Hardened criminal and kingpin of the underworld he was not.
Warren finally discovered Blue’s identity during the latest offering of the Channel 4 soap and his reaction very much mirrored that of the fans as he struggled to comprehend how Dave of all people would be capable of a revenge plot as meticulous as this.
Dave made it quite clear that he intended to kill Warren for his role in Lizzie Chen-Williams’ (Lily Best).
Warren assured him that Lizzie’s death was an accident but a brawl ensued between the two feuding foes.
Warren was stabbed by Dave, who then held his enemy at gunpoint, preparing to pull the trigger. Warren, however, got the upper hand, taking the gun from Dave and shooting him instead.
The questions are: has Blue’s reign of terror at last come to an end? Is this storyline over? Did Dave die? And will Warren make it out of Chester alive?
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 7am on Channel 4’s streaming platform, or catch episodes on TV at 7pm on E4.
