Home and Away: A famous face is set to join Summer Bay
Joshua Orpin has made a name for himself in Hollywood and is now coming to cause trouble in Summer Bay.
Hollywood actor Joshua Orpin is is joining the cast of Home and Away as a new Summer Bay bad boy.
The Aussie-born actor, 29, who most recently starred in US series Titans shared over the weekend that he is relocating to Sydney to set hearts racing on Home and Away.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, Joshua said he battled with being homesick during his time overseas.
“One of the reasons I was keen to do this gig was because of that, I have worked internationally and I have been quite homesick,” he shared. “Especially over Covid where I wasn’t able to come back to Australia even when I wasn’t working.”
Joshua played the role of Connor Kent/Superboy on the superhero series Titans from 2019-2023, with the series mainly being filmed in Canada.
He has also starred in Preacher, and Aussie series’ Love Me and The Doctor Blake Mysteries.
New Home and Away star on character: ‘Bit of a bad boy’
Joshua said his Summer Bay character will be shaking things up in Summer Bay.
“He is a bit of a bad boy who comes into the show and stirs up some trouble among the Summer Bay locals,” he shared. “He is seemingly one thing on the surface but he has a great depth to him I’ve had a lot of fun exploring.”
