Home and Away fans slam ‘dysfunctional’ storyline as they fume ‘you don’t do that’
Fans of Home and Away criticized the “dysfunctional” soap opera for Mackenzie and Levi’s relationship.
As Summer Bay’s newest physician Levi (Tristan Gorey) continued to care for Mackenzie (Emily Weir), she got closer to him. After the fundraiser, the two shared a kiss as their flame became more than just a spark.
Mali (Kyle Shilling) couldn’t contain his disdain of his friend dating Mackenzie’s doctor, even though she is overjoyed. In the Australian soap opera that aired on Thursday, March 21, Levi continued to assist Mackenzie with her recuperation by going with her to doctor’s visits and providing rides when necessary.
But Mackenzie wondered why Levi was acting so guarded about their relationship as they strolled down the beach in love. She came to the conclusion that nothing should stand in their way as they are both in agreement that they desire one other.
Things were getting heated that evening when Levi abruptly left. When Levi came back the following day, he at last revealed his marital status.
Mackenzie went to his hotel room in search of explanations for his cheating on his wife. She came to the conclusion that there had to be problems in their union for Levi to turn away from her.
She was taken aback by Levi’s response. The doctor disclosed that everything in his marriage was fine; his emotions had just shifted after meeting Mackenzie.
They spent the night together after Mackenzie said that they needed to let each other out of their systems. When they awoke the following morning in each other’s arms, everything was perfect. However, their joy was short-lived since Levi’s phone rang and it was his wife who was calling.
The scenes stunned viewers, who posted their reactions online. “You don’t treat your husband like this, hot or not! One admirer angrily said, “If you want to, end the marriage/relationship first.”
Another person penned: “Is it not possible for H&A to have a healthy married relationship? Now that’s a dysfunctional show. Third person also chimed in, saying, “Mac always has car crash relationships.”
