As Bree shows no signs of being honest about her dad, Kirby obliquely confides in Felicity – Bree is keeping a family secret from Remi. Her recent history with hiding the truth playing heavy on her mind, there’s only one option for Felicity – everything’s better out in the open.
The advice resonates and Kirby spills the beans to Remi about Bree’s father being on life support. He understandably urges his partner to go to her dying father, but Bree still has reservations. She tells him how she has always feared being punished for what she did to Jacob, and that she couldn’t bear anything bad to happen to Remi. Remi encourages Bree to go and she finally agrees.
Meanwhile, Dana can’t resist winding her sister up about her near-kiss with Tane, and Harper is forced to ask her to drop it – it’s making them both uncomfortable. As Dana jokingly swears to keep her own lips sealed, Felicity overhears a reference to the kiss and swiftly walks away.
All too familiar with Felicity’s history of jealousy, Harper confronts the issue then and there and talks to Felicity honestly – it was one kiss after the fundraiser, and it meant nothing. Felicity takes the high road, thanking Harper for her honesty and walking away.
Reeling from the tense interaction, Harper is quick to warn Tane – Felicity knows about the kiss. He’s surprised to learn they’ve already discussed it, but not that Felicity seemed more hurt about the timing than the kiss itself – it had happened after a sweet moment of closure between them both.
Tane knows he needs to do damage control, and quickly goes to Felicity’s to talk. His ex is calm and understanding – pointing out that they’re not together anymore and he doesn’t owe her an explanation. Tane’s surprised by her maturity. A charged moment between them quickly leads to a kiss, and then into the bedroom.
