Neighbours’ Haz Devkar to turn phone hacker as mysterious story continues

Haz bugs Mackenzie and Byron’s phones.

Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours‘ Haz Devkar is set to become a phone hacker as his mysterious storyline continues.

Viewers were left to wonder whether Haz is hiding a sinister side this week, when he was implicated in a shock attack against his own business.

On Wednesday (March 20), Haz and Mackenzie Hargreaves’ romantic day took an alarming turn when they found that Harold’s Café had been trashed by an unknown culprit.

The Erinsborough community quickly gathered to help clean up the wreckage, before Haz was rocked by a damning video that appeared to show him smashing up his own café. In favour of a large insurance payout, he decided to keep the video to himself.

In scenes set to air on Wednesday, March 27, Mackenzie tries to help Haz following the mysterious break-in at Harold’s by getting security cameras installed in the café.

After offering her help, Mackenzie is shocked by Haz’s angry reaction. She begins to notice her boyfriend’s strange behaviour since the break-in and tells their mutual friend Byron, who downplays Haz’s actions.

However, the pair aren’t aware that Haz has bugged their phones and is listening in on their conversation.

What is he planning?

Following the break-in, the share-house residents discussed the possible involvement of Haz’s brother, who many people have described as “exactly like Haz”.

Neighbours statement also teased: “Did Haz do this as an insurance job? Or was the perpetrator not even Haz at all, but an identical twin brother?”

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6:30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
