Ted Reveals His Affair to [Spoiler] and Dani Gets Rejected (Again)
Friday, April 11, 2025: Today on Beyond the Gates, Eva grows more suspicious of Leslie’s methods, Doug’s gambling addiction begins to take its toll and Ted confides (way too much!) in Andre.
Samantha thinks she’s pulled a fast one on her parents by secretly arranging for Chelsea to manage her, but the universe — or should we say Dani Dupree — has other plans.
Dani surprises the budding model at home, where she reveals herself to be the perfect person to shepherd Samantha’s modeling career.
But things get super awkward when Chelsea shows up, at which point Dani realizes that Samantha already asked her for representation.
“To be fair, I did ask Chels first, so maybe we should stick with that?” Samantha suggests, but once Dani sets her mind on something, can anyone really stop her? As it turns out, yes. Because an honest chat with Chelsea leaves Dani realizing she’s pushed her way into a situation where she’s not wanted.
Eva Interrogates Leslie
At Garland Memorial, Eva is surprised to learn that Laura is being cared for — well, more like being taken care of (wink, wink) — by a new nurse, totally unaware that Leslie is the one scrubbing in.
Eva presses Shanice for information about the new nurse, but it’s no use. “Has anyone told you you’re very nosy?” she asks. (Clearly Shanice hasn’t heard of a little person named Kat Richardson.)
When Eva arrives home to find Leslie rocking another wig, she accuses her mother of impersonating Laura’s nurse. “Only a clown would think I’d do something like that!” Leslie replies. In light of Eva’s (dead-on) concerns, Leslie says that if ever she goes too far, she knows her daughter will pull her back from the edge.
Nicole Opens a Door to the Past
Meanwhile, Andre is reviewing footage for his documentary, and Ted overhears a particularly troubling except from his interview with Nicole.
She reveals that she herself needed counseling at several points in her career, including her first miscarriage and the loss of a patient.
“It all started one night when I needed my husband and couldn’t find him,” she explains — and you’d better believe that Ted will make sure that clip ends up on the cutting room floor.
The full story is that baby Martin had an alarming fever, and Ted wasn’t able to make it to the hospital because he was stuck in traffic, so Nicole had to suffer through the crisis by herself. (“Traffic”? Yeah, right. Anyone else care to wager that Ted was actually with Leslie that night?)
Ted Makes a Shocking Confession
Then comes a confession we never expected to hear: while discussing his marriage, Ted tells Andre everything.
And we mean everything — the one-night stand, the alleged abortion, and even the $50,000 he paid to have “Dana” disappear for good.
“Nicole never found out,” Ted tells him. “And God willing, she never does.”
Needless to say, Andre can’t believe what he’s being told. Just look at the expression on this man’s face. He idolizes Ted. This has to be quite the blow. Later, Leslie calls Ted but, clearly sensing trouble’s on the line, he doesn’t answer. She, in turn, pulls a Fatal Attraction, poking a sharp fingernail at the invite to Ted and Nicole’s party while vowing she won’t be ignored!
Doug Begins to Lose Control
And then there’s Doug, whose recent hot streak at the casino gives Joey cause for concern. Before he gets a chance to push his luck, though, Vanessa’s husband is called to the hospital for an emergency surgery.
Upon his arrival, Shanice calls it like she sees it: something about Doug does not look right. Whether it’s serious enough to interfere with surgery, however, remains to be seen.
And just like that… yikes! Doug’s head is not in the game during his procedure, so he excuses himself from the operating room before things go south. By episode’s end, he realizes just how dangerous the situation has become, telling Randy that he has to quite gambling immediately.
Vanessa Falls Deeper Into Joey’s Trap
Over at Uptown, Vanessa is up to her neck in suitors — which is just how she likes it.
After fielding a “You up?” text from Diego, she receives a surprise visit from Joey, who tells her that his own marriage ended because he was too focused on his career. Their conversation becomes more personal and it’s clear that Vanessa is very drawn to Joey, who continues to reel her in…
