The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nate Plots to Steal Lily’s Job – New Power Trip Alarms Devon?
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) definitely has some concerns about bringing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) back to Chancellor-Winters. Devon still doesn’t trust Nate, but he’s willing to give him one last chance – mostly for Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) sake.
Although Devon caved in, he plans to keep a close eye on Nate moving forward. In fact, Devon warned Nate not to mess up and break Lily’s heart again or else things would truly be done between them!
It’s clear that this is Nate’s last opportunity to prove himself, so he really needs to be on his best behavior. Of course, that could be a problem if Y&R already has plans for Nate’s next power trip.
For now, Nate’s all set to become Chancellor-Winters’ new head of product and content development. Nate will be overseeing that department, which seems like a great fit since he’s always full of innovative ideas.
Unfortunately, that may not be enough to satisfy Nate’s hunger for power. There’s a greedy, ugly side of Nate that’s often hard to control when he’s in a corporate setting.
Naturally, Nate might start out with good intentions – or at least that’s what he might tell himself. With Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) out of town, it may not be long until Nate starts stepping up and offering to help pick up the slack.
It looks like Lily’s brief trip will turn into an extended one due to Christel Khalil’s maternity leave. That could open the door for Nate to make some bold moves for power while Lily’s gone.
Nate may see the potential to slide right in Lily’s spot and tackle a more powerful position than the one he was offered. Although Lily can do some work remotely, Nate may find ways to butt in and try to grab her role at the company.
Devon may see through Nate’s guise of being helpful and suspect this is just another power play. This is the kind of thing that could launch yet another family feud, so it’s something to watch out for during Lily’s time outside of Genoa City.
Nate might hope he can become Devon’s equal at Chancellor-Winters, but would Devon ever really allow that?
