‘They Cut It Without Telling Me’ — Karla Mosley Breaks Silence on Deleted Beyond the Gates Scene That Changes Everything

Beyond The Gates Dani Bill

In case you can’t tell simply by watching her Beyond the Gates performances, Karla Mosley is having an absolute blast playing Dani. And why wouldn’t she? The character is outspoken and undeniably the kind of woman who becomes the center of attention the moment she walks into the room.

Oh, and did we mention messy? Because it’s impossible to discuss Dani without talking about her ability to push people’s buttons… especially those of ex-husband Bill’s new bride, Hayley.

In fact, Dani is such a blast that when Mosley shared a behind-the-scenes “whoopsie” which made it onto the airwaves, we immediately developed a theory. Before we go any further, watch the clip below, which the actress shared on her Instagram feed.

Mosley said that the clip in question cracked her up “because it was a moment where they were supposed to call ‘cut’ about one sentence in, but they didn’t, so I just kept blathering… and they kept it all in!”

The scene in question isn’t just a tribute to the acting (and improv) skills of Mosley. It also served as a great reminder that while Hayley is always caught up in a whirlwind of drama — sometimes of her own making, but usually thanks to Dani — portrayer Marquita Goings is also funny as heck. Look no further than Hayley’s reaction to Dani’s impromptu babbling, captured below, for proof.

And although Bill seems mildly amused by the entire situation, it’s worth noting that his portrayer, Timon Kyle Durrett is usually the one cracking people up on set. “Oh, he’s definitely the one who’s most likely to cause the rest of us to break character,” laughed Goings when we chatted with the pair earlier this year.

All of which means that as much as we’ve been enjoying watching the trio act out their dysfunctional dynamic, the real fun is happening behind the scenes!
