Chicago MedChicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. reached more than 50 million viewers across NBC and Peacock during the 2022-2023 season, so you can bet they’ll be back for more. From budding romances to high-risk surgical procedures, Chicago Med hasn’t been holding back in Season 8. And the journey isn’t ending anytime soon.

Is Chicago Med coming back for Season 9?

Yes! Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. are renewed for the 2023-2024 season, so get ready for the return of One Chicago Wednesdays.

One Chicago creator Dick Wolf is thrilled about the renewal, which includes all three Law & Order series, as well. “I’m pleased to continue my four-decade relationship with Universal Television and NBC,” Wolf said in a statement. “All six shows being picked up again is the ultimate accolade to our incredible casts, producers, and writers. I’d also like to thank our loyal fans who have kept our NBC shows on the air for what will be a cumulative 84 seasons.”

Who will be in the Chicago Med Season 9 cast?

Expect to see many familiar faces — and a few new ones, including Blindspot actor Luke Mitchell, who joins the cast in a recurring role.

Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt), Janice (Jessica Tuck), and Loren Johnson (Henderson Wade) appear in Chicago Med.

What will happen in Chicago Med Season 9?

Chicago Med Season 9 will likely pick up where we leave the doctors in Season 8, which has been a nail-biting ordeal. Chicago Med’s fearless boss Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) is fighting tooth and nail to prevent Jack Dayton (Sasha Roiz) from turning the hospital into a for-profit hospital. Will this carry into the next season?
