What happened in Season 8 of Chicago Med?

Many beloved doctors bid farewell to Gaffney Medical Center, including Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss), Emergency Room Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), and Dr. Vanessa Taylor (Asjha Cooper).
